BIRTHDAY SELF PORTRAIT IN A PURPLE HAT...TO BE CONTINUED. THOUGHT I WOULD TREAT MYSELF TO WORKING ON A LARGER CANVAS (24" by 30") AND INDEED ENJOYED THE TEXTURE AND RICHER PAINT QUALITY...\DON'T FEEL ITS QUITE RESOLVED, BUT TIME TO GO BACK TO LIFE DRAWING....

A SKETCH FOR A PAINTING TO BE CALLED "BIRTHDAY SELF PORTRAIT IN PURPLE HAT"...I am looking froward to working on canvas again, but kind of liked the directness of the drawing.

welcome

ruthdraws
Welcome to my portfolio. I really love drawing faces and figures, and have been doing so , on and off, for years. I go to a life drawing group, and enjoy so very much the wonderful flow and rhythm to it..first warming up the hand and eye with one minute poses, moving on through 5, then 10, 15 then 20 minute or longer poses. Here are some examples of each...on the better days!
